De Grandi releases New EP "Live Life Like There’s No Mañana" on March 8th (BFDM)

De Grandi is a Parisian producer and DJ. He is the co-founder of Paradoxe Club and resident DJ at Rinse France.

His sound is characterized by its bold experimentations, intricate rhythms, rich textures and explorations of sonic possibilities. From pulsating club anthems to introspective ambient compositions, his tracks defies expectations at every turn, with an avant-garde sensibility that pushes the boundaries of conventional electronic music.

Live Life Like There’s No Mañana marks his first solo release since 2020 (and the 30th release for BFDM), however you might have seen him recently on releases for Tratratrax or Maloca.

This record showcases his ability to dip in and out of genres while still maintaining his own distinct sound.

Bravo Taïg Khris starts the EP with a long saturated bass (which could remind the listener of an engine revving) before dropping into the club territory with pulsating snares, sound designed basses.Then comes ‘Vincente de La Makina’, a track that fuses dubstep and grime with lots of tiny ear-pleasing details.

‘I Can Relate’, starts off with pads ands synths that could perfectly fit in the gabber / hardcore universe, however it suddenly switches and becomes a a blend between dub, dubstep and techno.
The fourth track, ‘Eeeheehee’ is a deeply unserious club track that has been created around a sample found on TikTok.
And the final track, ‘Creepy Teeth (Colgate Mix)’ is a beatless track (for good measure) centered around some dubbed out trumpets and synths melodies sent into 100% wet reverbs.
